How is it that I can easily get myself into a situation with someone where I have no clue what is going on, and I have no idea of figuring it all out, so then I'm constantly thinking of said person and random events between us.

How is it that two people can flirt and show interest everytime they see each other for 5 years, and yet nothing happen between them? How could one person know if the other feels the tension and chemistry that they feel, or could they chemistry/tension just be there because of the situation? Better yet can a person really act interested in another person to the point where the other can't do anything but think of said person and wonder....what if? What is between us, what would happen if we tried to see? would a long friendship be jeoperdized?

How can a girl know for sure that the guy she's interested in, is interested in her? Is in the way he treats her and acts around her (constantly reaching for her hand, smiling, winking, rubbin her leg {knees}, getting VERY close). How can the girl find out what is between the two without hurting the friendship or anything?

The gist of my situation is a long time friend, and I have the tendency to flirt shamelessly with each other and lately...it's been stronger then normal. I'm not the only one who sees something there...friends and family see it too, I just don't know how the other feels....and I want to know, I just don't know how to really found out.....when we've danced he's held me tighter then I have EVER been held. I need help...if anyone can help me and give me advice as of to what to do....
